Executive coaching

A space in which to think and explore

Conversations which open up new perspectives

Navigating the increasingly uncertain and unpredictable world of work, making the most of the opportunities which come their way and finding a purpose in what they do are just some of the aims my clients bring to coaching.

Often there are obstacles in their way, such as self-limiting beliefs, unhelpful patterns of behaviour, difficult relationships or a lack of perspectives and progress.

Exploring and improving resilience is another increasingly important theme.

Executive coaching can provide the space to work through these obstacles and opportunities and gain more clarity and helpful insights. Some of my clients have described these as life-changing.

My coaching approach

As a coach I bring empathy and a true interest in the individual to every coaching assignment. Supportive and encouraging, yet gently challenging, I enable my clients to gain new insights and achieve positive change.

My coaching approach depends first and foremost on the needs of the client. It can range from free-flowing explorative sessions through to more structured ways of working using a range of coaching techniques, such as Solution-Focus or Co-Active coaching.

How it works

A successful coaching relationship is based on mutual trust, confidentiality and a professional foundation.

As an APECs accredited Practising Executive Coach I use the APECS Ethical Guidelines https://www.apecs.org/ethical-guidelines

Most coaching assignments start with six monthly sessions at 90 minutes each. For some this is enough, others like to extend to 12 months or beyond.

Hogan assessments

Before starting a coaching engagement it can be helpful to find out a bit more about the coachee.

The tools I am certified to deliver are:

  • HPI, Hogan Personality Inventory

  • HDS, Hogan development survey

  • MVPI, Motives, Values, Preferences inventory

What my clients say

I have worked with a number of coaches, and Heike is one of the best. She helped me to navigate the challenges facing my business through lockdown and restart, supporting me to understand the real issues (rather than the obvious ones) and in developing plans that were right for both me personally & the business.
— Sally Fyffe, Managing Director
I have been lucky enough to work with Heike for many years and she has been a superb coach to members of my team on three different occasions. She established very trusting and impactful relationships with them that we all valued. She brings a great blend of authentic wisdom and compassion to her work.
— SP, Former Agency Head.
